There are many legends about the origins and principles of Freemasonry, and there are not enough historical sources to dispel any doubts. Although there is a wealth of documentation on some of the important symbols of Freemasonry that can be linked to the Old Testament, mainly through the internet. This desk study on the Old Testament and Freemasonry explores the links between them, focusing on the symbolic and ethical parallels. What makes you a Freemason?

To answer the question, “What makes you a Freemason?” I conducted desk research online to determine what Freemasons think about their duties, obligations, and responsibilities. I have based my examination on two basic themes: I compared the ritual books and rituals of the different Masonic Orders, and I examined the international norms of Duty, Obligation, and Responsibility from a Masonic perspective.
